HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
Monday April 1st
8 and half months
We've had a wonderful and easy Easter. Aaron and I took it in turns to sleep in. Each day we went out somewhere and then spent the rest of the time playing.
Aiden now has one of those top 4 teeth through, the other 3 are almost there. We can see Kate's starting to move down her gums.

Although Daddy is trying to brainwash him with the football, Aiden still manages to keep hold of his favourite rattle |

This week we went to our swimming lesson on Sunday. It was time to get into the water so I picked up Kate and got in. As I touched her butt I got that sinking feeling.....yes she had had a blowout. We quickly get out of the water, both dripping wet and try to grab all of the necessary gear and a quiet place to change her. I can tell you those swimming nappies don't soak anything up and it was everywhere! Bleeecckkkk! I ended up putting a swimming nappy on her and nothing else (her bathers were beyond repair at this point) and we had our swimming lesson without further incident.
We have had lots of time with friends lately and it has been great. Randall has been coming over regularly on Saturdays and Amanda was down for a week (she spent Thursday and Monday with us).
Aiden has had some big leaps forward in his development. His third upper tooth is through....still no complaining from him. He is also rolling like a maniac. He drops his fat little arm with much purpose and over he goes. Back and forward, back and forward. Aiden is also talking a lot more "Da..da" "Dar...dar" "Bu...bu". He is also able to stand on the couch without being held. Lastly, he is able to hold himself on all fours, can't get himself into that position on his own but is able to maintain it when placed. Who knows, soon we may be crawling. Kate just sticks her butt in the air and laughs. No crawling for her.
Their fine motor skills are great and they have learnt how to pinch. Really sucks to be pinched constantly when nursing, that's when Kate actually nurses; she is on a bit of a nursing strike at the moment.
Kate has been an absolute delight lately, no grizzling. "Who are you and what have you done with our daughter??" She is really interacting with us, wants cuddles and laughs all the time.

Aaron and I are feeling really really happy and relieved because Jackie is going to be our nanny! She will be looking after Kate and Aiden whilst I am at work. This is the ideal situation because they love her and she is able to keep them to routine. They will be in their own environment and will be less likely to get sick. It takes a lot of pressure off of me because I can simply leave for work without having to get Kate and Aiden to the Childcare Centre.
Randall taught Aiden a new game about a week ago. If you shake your head at Aiden he puts a big grin on his face and shakes his back at you. We've all played this game so much we are walking around with a slight case of concussion.
Our swimming lessons are going brilliantly. Kate and Aiden love going now. They go underwater easily and swim like little fish. They love the games and laugh at the other babies. It's a nice way to spend Sundays as a family.
Aiden is now able to get up onto his knees unaided and is rocking back and forth. It won't be long and he will be crawling. He is such a beautiful baby with the loveliest temperament. He is easy going and always happy. Kate is a cheeky little minx! She has a personality and a half and is always active. She learns very quickly although she is still behind Aiden in the crawling lessons. Not interested.
